Mothers Day tradition says mom would like a
lovely bouquet of fresh flowers. Indeed flowers are a delightful gift to
receive. Professionally arranged flowers can say a lot about how you feel,
and they bring beauty and delightful fragrance into home or office. Floral
arrangements fresh from the grower last several days and remind your mother
of her special day whether you can be there or not. A Mother's Day card with
your own sentiments should always accompany your gift of flowers.
Send an unspoken message by your choice of flowers. Each flower has been
given a meaning through the ages that you can draw from when you choose your
Mother's Day floral arrangement. The following article explains flower
symbolism.The Language of Flowers
By Wilhelmina Jones
The “language of flowers" was originally brought to Europe in the early
1700's where many secret communications and love messages would be exchanged
with flowers. A bouquet of flowers could hold an entire conversation. Each
flower had its own meaning. The favorite flower of Venus, the Roman goddess
of love, was thought to be the red rose and came to represent true love.
Today when you send flowers you are in fact communicating something whether
it be a birthday wish, anniversary, cheer you up bouquet or expressing your
deepest sympathy. If you are like most people you know that flowers have
meanings but could not tell you what they are. Though meanings of flowers
have been mainly agreed upon there can be some dispute as to its accuracy.
